Ski Schools “Etna Nicolosi” and “Monteserra” are organizing a torch-light procession at Monteserra Ski Stadium (an artificial snow stadium open all the year!).
Event will start on Janaury, 6th at 5.00 p.m.

To reach Ski Stadium you have to go to Umberto street in Viagrande then follow indications (it’s close to “Villaggio Madonna degli Ulivi”).
About Etna it will be most strange New Year’s Day we remember. Not only there is no snow (it happens!) but we have warm weather, no needing of jackets to stay outside, blue sky and a fantastic view which allows us to see even Syracuse.
This night weather forecasts expect a fast drop of temperatures and tomorrow may be some snow. Winter should finally come, at last.

If you don’t know on Etna a Ski Stadium is active.
A Ski Stadium is a place with an artificial snow carpet where you can ski even in August.
It is a perfect alternative to snow when temperatures are high or weather doesn’t help.
More, it is the perfect place where to learn and practise skiing.
We like to give news before everyone so I give you a gift. It will be opened soon a new website for ski lovers: Scuola Sci Nicolosi Etna. They would like to open website during Christmas so watch it daily!

In past days we have been very busy with hotel. We received a lot of greeting cards for Christmas and New Year but we had no time to answer anyone.
I wish to dedicate a small half hour to thank our friends all over the world who think us.
Thank you to mr. and mrs. Krabusch who sent a lovely album about some country experience we had together this year. Mr. Di Bella wishes I tell you your bottles of his wine are ready and they wait you. Don’t forget to come prepared to carry some bottles, next year!
A big hug to family Reichart who left a little rock with “Thomas” name painted on it inside immense Valle del Bove. They wish to thank Paolo, Angelo and Francesco. One year ago where looking for Thomas on 1st and 2nd December guiding the rescue team of “Soccorso Alpino” of “Guardia di Finanza”.
Well, we are sponsorshipping their expedition “Ojos del Salado” this year. Ciao Thomas.
Mat and Niki sent their greetings after a pleasant year. Their work is going better and this allow them more time to go all over the world. Inside caves or in blue sky by plane they are everywhere: “work, caves, mines, walks and, of course, holiday”. For next year they plan “Lanzarote, Iceland and Sicily (of course!)”. Well… I am envious!
A kiss to very young Wiktor on his first Christmas. His mother Wiola and his father Piotr sent us their greeting from Polland. A hug also to Rossella in United States; how is Christmas in America? Thanks to mr. Stiegler, too.
